Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a security role.
  • High level of customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive in providing solutions and sensitive in dealing with people.
  • Good judgment and understanding of casino operations.
  • Completion of the Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training before start or valid BC Security License, with GSO training completed within 90 days of start.
  • Completion of Serving It Right.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee security throughout the casino.
  • Maintain presence on the gaming floor and respond quickly to guest inquiries.
  • Control access to the facility and sensitive areas.
  • Escort patrons and assets.
  • Patrol casino property.
  • Conduct incident investigations.
  • Write reports and maintain a daily log.
  • Provide First Aid and medical attention as needed.

At all times, you will be aware of gaming operations and work under provincial gaming regulations, complying with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a presence on the gaming floor and respond quickly to guest inquiries.

  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Provide First Aid and medical attention as needed (if IFA certified).

What You Bring

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a security role.
  • High level of customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive in providing solutions and sensitive in dealing with people.
  • Good judgment and understanding of casino operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Completion of the Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training before start, or a valid BC Security License, with GSO training completed within 90 days of start.
  • Completion of Serving It Right.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs.
  • Capacity to physically restrain and secure individuals using prescribed techniques.
  • Good social perceptiveness and vision to identify people.
