Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard – Premium Mall in Etobicoke, ON. The role combines interior and exterior foot patrols with dispatch responsibilities, serving as the central point of communication for the security team within Premium Mall.

The successful candidate will monitor CCTV, respond to emergencies, and maintain professional conduct while delivering exceptional customer service to shoppers and tenants.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid G Ontario Driver's license and clean abstract.
• Previous security experience in retail, commercial, or customer service is asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions in emergencies.
• Excellent conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols of the shopping center and surrounding property.
• Perform mobile patrols of parking facilities and exterior areas as required.
• Answer incoming calls and dispatch calls for service to security team members.
• Maintain radio communications and coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other incidents.
• De-escalate conflicts and manage challenging situations using effective communication techniques.
• Provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, retailers, and visitors.
• Assist with emergency response procedures, evacuations, and incident management.
• Monitor security systems, CCTV, and communication equipment as required.
• Complete detailed incident reports, occurrence reports, and daily activity logs.
• Liaise with emergency services, mall management, and external stakeholders when necessary.
• Enforce property rules, policies, and procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support the overall safety and security of the shopping center environment.

Location: Etobicoke, ONPay Rate: $20.00 - $20.95 per hour

Schedule: Days Continental Rotation 09:30 - 21:30

Overview:

We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Security Professional with dispatch responsibilities to join the security team at Premium Mall. This position combines traditional security duties, including foot patrols, with dispatch and communication responsibilities.The successful candidate will serve as a central point of communication for the security team while actively participating in daily security operations throughout the shopping center. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent situational awareness, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies and customer service situations.
