Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a Security Guard to protect an automotive remarketing site in Canada. The role emphasizes inventory control, safety, and strong customer service while maintaining perimeter security and verifying access for personnel and vendors.

A valid driver’s license and BST license (Ontario) are required, with 1–3 years in security preferred. The position involves outdoor work in all weather conditions, using handheld devices for inventory management and assisting dealers with requests

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in a Security role is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A valid Drivers’ license is required.
• BST license (Ontario only) is required.
• Basic computer & smartphone skills.
• Experience working outside in all weather conditions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the auction perimeter and verify proper clearance for personnel and customers, transporters, and supply companies.
• Complete rounds inventory and store personal property from repossessed vehicles.
• Look up AuctionTrac data for customers and guide them to where the inventory is located.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting dealers with various procedures and requests in an efficient and timely manner.
