Position Details

• Site: Windsor Regional Hospital - Met Campus Access Control
• Address: 1995 Lens Ave, Windsor, ON N8W1L9
• Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 0000-0800
• Payrate: $22.07/hour
• Posting Date: July 2, 2025
• Closing Date: July 9, 2025

Key Responsibilities

1. Patrol hospital grounds, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, and perform daily lock/unlock procedures.
2. Monitor and control access points, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
3. Inspect and screen bags or cargo using appropriate equipment or by hand.
4. Perform passenger searches with tools or manually.
5. Monitor screening checkpoints and procedures.
6. Provide customer service by greeting and assisting visitors, patients, and staff, and giving directions.
7. De-escalate tense situations and resolve conflicts professionally.
8. Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately in reports.
9. Collaborate with hospital staff and law enforcement for coordinated security efforts.
10. Enforce hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, and address violations appropriately.

Prerequisites

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
• Diploma in Police Foundations, Security & Investigations, Border Services, or Criminology
• Covid-19 vaccination (two doses)
• Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and two-step TB skin test
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) or willingness to complete training prior to onboarding (training costs covered by Paladin with a 6-month commitment)
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
