Job summary

Allied Universal in Leduc, AB is seeking a part‑time Security Guard for a manufacturing facility. The role requires securing site access, monitoring CCTV, conducting patrols, and maintaining incident documentation on a weekend schedule with overnights.

The successful candidate will have 1–2 years of security experience, Alberta licensure, a valid Class 5 driver’s licence, First Aid & CPR, and the ability to work up to 40 hours weekly, including evenings and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years security experience in corporate, commercial, or access control environments.
• Alberta Security Services Worker Licence required.
• Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
• First Aid & CPR Certification required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada; available to work up to 40 hours per week including irregular hours.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; capable of incident documentation.
• Experience with CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Control access and prevent unauthorized entry.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors entering or leaving the property.
• Monitor entrances, exits, gates, parking areas and other access points.
• Operate gates and access control equipment.
• Conduct routine patrols and observe for security incidents.
• Document accurate security logs and incident reports.
• Respond to emergencies per site procedures and training.
• Maintain effective communication with supervisors and security teams.
