Job description

Commissionaires BC is looking for a dedicated and reliable Security Guard to join our team at an online casino facility in New Westminster, BC where you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of staff, contractors, and visitors within the building, maintaining a secure environment at all times.

Shift times:
  • Full time Monday to Friday 4pm till midnight
Payrate: $20.50 per hour

Your “must haves”:
  • Valid BC Security Licence
  • Prior experience working in security, ideally in a casino environment
  • Superior customer service and communications skills
  • High level of attention to detail and dress and deportment
Key Responsibilities:
  • Front desk security, providing high level of customer service to clients.
  • Monitor and patrol the facility to ensure the safety and security of staff working within the building.
  • Ensure only authorized personnel have access to restricted areas and maintain a controlled environment.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents, ensuring the safety of all employees.
  • Manage security systems such as alarms, cameras, and access controls.
  • Provide a visible security presence to deter and report any suspicious activities or threats.
  • Assist with any security-related issues within the workplace, helping create a safe and positive environment for clients.
  • Maintain detailed records of incidents and report any concerns to management.
  • Work collaboratively with on-site staff to address any safety concerns.
