Job Skills / Requirements:

1. Position: Security Guard | Full-Time Temporary Seasonal - Victoria Park Harbour (86 S Front St.)
2. Site: Victoria Park Harbour - 86 S Front St. Belleville
3. Hours: Monday to Friday, 1700-0500.
4. Payrate: $19.50/hour
5. Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
6. Internal Posting Date: April 14, 2025
7. Internal Closing Date: April 21, 2025
8. External Closing date: May 18, 2025

Note: This is a seasonal position ending September 8, 2025

Job Responsibilities:

1. Proactive & reactive security patrols
2. Majority of shift will be spent conducting exterior patrols
3. Response to incidents
4. Lock & Secure washrooms
5. Ensure no unauthorized individuals are on site after 2200
6. Liase with Paladin & the Marina Coordinator to ensure ongoing safety concerns/issues are resolved
7. Assist boaters as necessary
8. By-law parking enforcement
9. Report writing and note-taking
10. Daily shift reports
11. Investigate routine incidents
12. Additional Duties as Assigned

Job Requirements:

1. Valid Security License for Ontario
2. Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
3. Able to stand for up to 8-12 hours per shift
4. Able to complete extensive patrolling of site
5. English communication (oral and written) required
6. Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
7. Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
8. Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
