Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Timmins, Ontario. This full-time role features rotating shifts from 5 AM to 5 PM and 5 PM to 5 AM, with full availability required. The pay rate is $22.83 per hour.

Candidates must hold an Ontario security guard license and a valid Ontario driver's license, along with First Aid/ CPR. The position emphasizes reporting, CCTV monitoring, access control, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario security guard license and Ontario Driving License.
• Eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR certification required; Advanced First Aid preferred.
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area.
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times.
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate.
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies.
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager.
• Demonstrate good judgement, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols.
