Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring Security Professionals in Timmins, Ontario for full-time, rotational shifts. The role involves enforcing access control, maintaining a professional presence, and responding to emergencies. A valid Ontario security license, driving license, CPR/First Aid, and transportation are required.

Shifts run 5 AM–5 PM and 5 PM–5 AM, five days a week, with a flexible schedule. The position offers full-time hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario security guard license and Ontario driving license.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR certification are required; Advanced First Aid is preferred.
• Candidates must have access to a personal vehicle for reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility.
• Present a polished, professional image at all times.
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate.
• Patrolling and following post orders; indoor or outdoor patrols.
• Follow safety and emergency procedures; respond to alarms.
• Undertake site-specific training and follow guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager.
• Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making, especially in emergencies.
• Meticulous record keeping and note-taking; strong written communication.
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including CCTV, radios, and computers.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols.

Pay Rate: $22.83 per hour

Shifts: Monday - Sunday, Rotational shifts - 5 AM - 5 PM and 5PM - 5AM (full availability is required)

Requirement

• Valid Ontario security guard license and Ontario Driving License.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR certification are required; candidates with Advanced First Aid certification will be given priority consideration.
• Candidates must have access to a personal vehicle to ensure reliable transportation to and from the work site.
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm .
• Experience with report writing and note‑taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.

Specific Duties Performed And Essential Functions

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision‑making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols
