Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Security Guard to join our team at a Post Secondary Education site in the GTA. This full-time position offers a rotating schedule with excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide reliable security services on campus, ensuring safety and security for students, staff, and visitors.
• Understand and demonstrate knowledge of campus security policies and procedures with a customer service approach.
• Build positive relationships within the college community and respond effectively during emergencies.
• Conduct proactive patrols, monitor security systems, and handle incidents professionally.
• Write detailed incident reports and liaise with emergency services when necessary.
• Control access points and ensure property safety through routine checks.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid WSIB-approved First Aid & CPR Level C Certificate
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (two doses)
• Valid G or G2 Ontario Driver’s License
• Ability to stand and walk extensively, work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Proficiency with two-way radios and computer applications
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Additional Requirements

Compensation & Benefits

Pay rate: $19.00 - $20.00/hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, paid vacation, sick days, and holidays.
