Site: Lanark County Mental Health - 9 Armstrong Dr, Smiths Falls
Hours: Various
Payrate: $21.48 hourly

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Start Date: July 8, 2025

Internal posting date: June 6, 2025
Internal closing date: June 13, 2025

Job Responsibilities:

• Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
• Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises
• Ensure the safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets
• Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
• Carry out all security duties as specified, including interior & exterior patrols, emergency response, documentation, incident investigation, lock/unlock procedures, policy enforcement, and safety inspections

Job Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
• Valid G2 class license
• Reliable vehicle
• Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
• Completed immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and a clear TB result at hire; unvaccinated or non-immunized applicants are ineligible
• Minimum 6 months healthcare or non-healthcare security experience preferred
• Availability for at least 6 months
• English proficiency (oral & written); bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
• Customer service experience is an asset
• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) preferred; training available if needed
