Qualifications

- Patrol the clinic's exterior to ensure security of the facility.

Post-Secondary education in a law enforcement / security program
- Monitor and control all access points to the clinic, including entrances and exits, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the facility.
- Patrol the exterior of the clinic to ensure the perimeter is secure. Detect and address any security risks or breaches.
- Respond promptly to any alarms or security breaches.
- Respond to emergencies and security incidents, providing assistance in coordination with local law enforcement, fire, and medical teams.
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring that all follow safety protocols, including checking identification and visitor logs.
- Maintain a highly visible presence to deter potential threats, prevent vandalism, and discourage unauthorized access.
- Document and report any incidents, suspicious activities, or security-related concerns. Maintain accurate records of daily activities.
- Enforce clinic policies, rules, and regulations regarding safety, security, and emergency procedures.
Requirements :
- Post-Secondary education in a law enforcement / security program from a recognized college preferred
- Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact, and diplomacy.
- Immunization Record including MMR. Varicella, and 2 TB tests
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF / MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware : The UoF / MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position / availability
