The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking Casual Security Guard 2 to join the Security Services department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in law enforcement careers, with above-average salary, benefits, and prospects for full-time placement.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Providing security services and assistance to CAMH patients, visitors, staff, and volunteers to maintain a safe environment.
• Responding to emergencies, patrolling hospital buildings and grounds, and completing reports.
• Ensuring security procedures are followed, protecting life and property, conducting incident investigations, liaising with emergency responders, and removing unauthorized persons.

This position involves shift work (day, evening, and night), including weekends, at 1001 Queen Street West. The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Valid PSIS Security Guard License.
• 2 years of community college education in law enforcement or in progress.
• 6 months to 1 year of security experience and First Aid/CPR certification.
• Healthcare experience is an asset.

Additional qualities include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently, problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, and physical ability to perform the duties. Bilingualism in French/English is an asset.
