Location: Waterloo, ON

Type: Part-Time

Pay Rate: $20 - $21.42 per hour

Shifts: Overnight Shifts - Saturday and Sunday 0000-0800

We are seeking a professional, vigilant, and detail-oriented Security Guard to provide front desk coverage at one of our premium sites in Waterloo.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist visitors, contractors, and employees as they enter the building. Provide information, direct individuals to appropriate areas, and ensure a positive first impression of the company.
• Manage security desk operations, including issuing visitor badges, maintaining access control logs, and responding to inquiries. Provide support to building staff, contractors, and visitors as needed.
• Oversee the gatehouse operations, monitor vehicles entering and exiting the premises, and ensure compliance with security procedures. Verify vehicle access and provide appropriate directions.
• Regularly patrol parking areas, ensuring compliance with parking regulations and addressing any violations.
• Monitor building access, ensuring that only authorized individuals are granted entry. Verify identification and manage the sign-in process for visitors, contractors, and employees.
• Respond to emergencies swiftly and efficiently, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Document and report any incidents or irregularities promptly, ensuring accurate details are recorded for follow-up.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience working in a security sector.
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
• Must have 5+ years of residency in Canada to obtain site specific security clearance
• Must have a G License.
• Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance purposes
• Ability to obtain a Clean Driver\'s abstract
• High school diploma or equivalent / GED or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with operating technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• First Aid and CPR
