Job summary

Blackbird Security is hiring Security Guards in Edmonton, AB to protect diverse sites including retail, warehouses and residential areas. Pay ranges from CA$16.00 to CA$19.00 per hour and work types include full-time and part-time shifts.

A valid security license is required and English is the language of work. Responsibilities include patrolling, access control, incident reporting and timely response to emergencies.

• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken (required).
• Previous security experience in retail is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft.
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons.
• Patrol the premises, provide access control and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
• Complete incident reports for security purposes.
• Respond to emergencies and elevate to law enforcement agencies as required.

What You Will Do

• Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons

About You

• A Valid Security License is required
• Previous security experience in a retail environment is preferred
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken is required
• Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Willing to stand and patrol for the duration of the shift
• Use of Force Certification is an asset
• Pro Serve and Protect Certifications are an asset
