Title: Field Supervisor

Location: Whitehorse, Yukon

Position Status: Full Time

Wage: $26.00/hr - $30.00/hr

Reports to: Senior Field Supervisor and Client Service Manager

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide superior customer service to clients and general public
2. Schedule security staff and security contractor escorts
3. Book appointments
4. Drug and Alcohol Technician Certification
5. Provide access control and security foot patrols as needed
6. Process Serving (Document Service)
7. ID services Technician Training
8. Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts
9. Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures
10. Communicate problems or concerns to the Senior Field Supervisor and Client Service Manager
11. Ensure that each guard post within Commissionaires Whitehorse is manned in accordance with orders and that the duties and responsibilities of each are carried out in accordance with pertinent regulations, directives and instructions as required
12. Ensure that all Commissionaires employed within Whitehorse are adequately trained, properly equipped and fully capable of performing their duties
13. Ensure that patrols are completed in accordance with the required schedules as promulgated by the Site Supervisor
14. Ensure that a high standard of dress and deportment is always maintained and that all guard posts and guard houses are maintained in a clean and orderly manner
15. Any other duties as stipulated in Post Orders, or directions of the Site Supervisor, Senior Field Supervisor or Client Services Manager

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Must be able to obtain a reliable status security clearance with Government of Canada
2. Must be able to obtain a Security Licence from the Yukon Government Professional Licensing and Regulatory Affairs
3. Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft suite programs
4. Must be able to stand and sit for long periods at a time
5. Must be able to work in a range of weather conditions to perform outdoor foot patrols
6. Must be fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills
7. Must have a positive attitude with a professional demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills
8. Have excellent attention to detail to fulfill duties and responsibilities and incident report writing
9. Have excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to handle emergency situations in a calm manner
10. Have the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations
11. Have a demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public
