Job Functions
Job Skills / Requirements
- Report directly to the Branch Manager.
- Serve as the first contact for the Operations Department, Zone Supervisors, Site Supervisors, Clients, and field staff in case of emergency, incident, or inquiry.
- Coordinate with emergency services, staff, local authorities, and regulatory bodies as necessary.
- Verify and maintain contractual training and orientation requirements for staff on all sites, including accurate use of notebooks, review of daily report sheets, staff deportment (uniform, grooming, equipment, PPE), and ensure all staff hold a valid Alberta security license.
- Oversee all aspects of the OH&S program on all sites, including WCB and First Aid reporting, Accident Investigations, and Near Miss Reporting.
- Monitor, identify, and report health or safety deficiencies, promoting safe work practices.
- Review, approve, and follow up on incident reports as necessary.
- Assist Mobile Security staff during incident/alarm calls, including dangerous dispatches and uncooperative site removals.
- Provide frontline staff with additional training and facilitation as needed.
- Maintain compliance and logistics via TrackTik software.
- Build relationships with employees, demonstrate leadership, and support employee development.
- Ensure adherence to Paladin's policies, including the Code of Ethics and Employee Manual.
- Address disciplinary concerns with field agents to the appropriate Manager.
- Maintain communication with Operations, Healthcare Operations, Zone & Site Supervisors, and management via email and phone.
- Meet regularly with management to brief on field and mobile operations.
- Coordinate shift coverage for team absences to maintain service standards.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Job Requirements
- Valid Alberta Security License.
- Prior security experience required; mobile security experience preferred.
- Knowledge of legislation and standards on fire safety, security, and privacy.
- Valid Class 5 non-GDL license with a clean 3-year driving record.
- Certified Protection Officer (CPO) through IFPO is preferred.
- Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with WinTeam and Tracktik is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Education: High School Diploma / GED
