Successful applicants will mainly be responsible for site dispatch job functions and a wide variety of medical and First Aid related duties. Members must become fully versed with the client's OH&S program, including the RTBS system. Officers will treat and record all First Aid incidents in accordance with WSBC regulations. Report writing and multitasking are daily tasks. Medics must work in a fast-paced, team environment as well as independently.
First Aid Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced first aid, including initial response, preparing employees for transport, and documenting all incidents for emergency personnel.
- Mitigate unsafe working conditions.
- Drive the onsite ambulance.
- Attend training courses as requested; training paid for by the company.
Dispatch Responsibilities:
- Provide dispatch services for the site.
- Receive, send, and record telephone communications as needed.
- Maintain logs and record site activity via computer programs.
- Operate CCTV systems.
Minimum Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Valid OFA Level 3 certification
- Class 5 Driver's License
Experience and Skills:
- Experience as a site medic in an operational setting.
- Enthusiastic and committed with a history of building trust-based relationships.
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts (day and/or night) in remote locations.
- Excellent customer service skills and enjoyment working in the People Industry.
- Strong time management skills.
- Proficient in computer use and applicable programs.
Additional Qualifications:
- Clean Criminal Record Check
- Customer Service Training (will train)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing
- Recertification in OFA Level 3 as required

- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract.

Conditions:
- Up to 12 hours of work per day.
- Shift work required.
- Must wear site PPE at all times, including high visibility vests, hard hats, and eye protection in certain areas.
