Job summary

Intact is seeking a Security Analyst I to join our growing team in the Vancouver area. You will act as the first point of contact for penetration testing requests, maintain the vulnerability register, and collaborate with Scrum Master and Product Manager to triage and prioritize tasks.

You will maintain foundational documentation, assist the Business Analyst with testing activities, and oversee the organization’s cybersecurity risk management tools while staying current with security trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Relevant work experience in information technology.
• Basic knowledge of information security management principles and practices.
• Good understanding of ethical principles, business ethics, and information security ethics.
• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for handling team requests related to penetration testing activities.
• Support and maintain the vulnerability register.
• Work closely with the team’s Scrum Master or Product Manager and other stakeholders to prioritize and triage requests.
• Maintain the repository of foundational documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Assist the team’s Business Analyst in preparing penetration testing activities.
• Oversee the documentation, implementation, and testing of the organization’s cybersecurity risk management tools.
• Stay up to date on developments in the security landscape, including techniques and trends, threats, detection methods, and more.
• Execute periodic reviews of information security procedures by producing relevant reports and following up with the responsible stakeholders.
