Job summary

LMI Technologies is seeking a proactive Security Analyst to safeguard our global IT infrastructure, networks, and digital assets. You’ll monitor threats, triage alerts, assist in incident response, and drive vulnerability management across enterprise systems in a hybrid Burnaby-based role.

You will collaborate with the IT team, strengthen security posture, and contribute to policy development while engaging with multiple business units and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on cybersecurity/IT security or IT admin with security focus.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or GIAC are preferred.
• Familiarity with modern EDR/XDR solutions and enterprise OSes.
• Experience with cloud platforms and identity security is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and triage incidents in real time.
• Refine detection rules and automation playbooks to reduce false positives.
• Assist with vulnerability management and patching across endpoints.
• Support incident handling, containment, and root-cause analysis.
• Lead security training initiatives and phishing simulations.
• Participate in audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
• Document SOPs, post-mortems, and security workflows.
• Evaluate new cybersecurity tools and external consultants.
• Enforce security policies and engage with business units on risk posture.
• Collaborate with IT peers to improve overall security operations.
