Job summary

Techo-Bloc is seeking a Security Agent to protect people and property at our Chambly and Saint-Hubert locations. You will work 16 hours per week, from 4 PM to 12 AM, with an hourly starting rate of $21.25. Join a team focused on safety, professional growth, and reliable, responsive service.

The role requires a BSP licence, First Aid, a valid driver’s licence, and fluency in English with French knowledge a plus. Uniforms are provided and career development opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Private Security Bureau (BSP) licence.
• Hold a valid First Aid certification for workplace first responders.
• Hold a valid driver’s licence with no more than three demerit points.
• Ability to react quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Ability to kneel, crouch, move quickly, and use safety equipment.
• Strong analytical, judgment, crisis management, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset. English proficiency is required to serve customers based in the United States and outside Quebec.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage in both Chambly and Saint-Hubert locations.
• Detect, monitor, and report potential security threats and notify the Security Manager.
• Maintain surveillance using cameras and alarms and respond to alerts.
• Conduct regular patrols inside and outside the facilities, on foot or by vehicle.
• Respond to emergencies (theft, intrusion, fire, etc.) and assist with evacuations and first aid.
• Coordinate with emergency services and first responders.
• Apply health and safety policies to promote a prevention culture.
• Resolve conflicts in collaboration with management.
• Control access to the premises and greet visitors and suppliers.
• Write clear incident reports documenting events.

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief of Security, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Techo-Bloc’s employees and property, working alongside a team of dynamic and motivated agents. Our ideal candidate is discreet, courteous, and serves as a role model in applying company policies.

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Provide coverage in both ourChambly and Saint-Hubert locations;
• Act proactively to detect, monitor, and report any potential security threats—dangerous situations, suspicious behavior, or other concerns—promptly notifying the Security Manager;
• Maintain continuous surveillance of the premises using the camera system and alarms (intrusion, fire), and respond quickly to any alerts;
• Conduct regular patrolsinside and outside the facilities, on foot or by vehicle, in accordance with established protocols;
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations (theft, intrusion, altercation, fire, etc.), including physical interventions when necessary (evacuations, first aid);
• Communicate with emergency services as needed and work collaboratively with first responders;
• Apply occupational health and safety policies and procedures to promote a strong prevention culture;
• Resolve conflicts in collaboration with management;
• Control access to the premises, including greeting visitors, suppliers, and other individuals;
• Write clear and detailed incident reports to document events and preserve evidence;
• Perform any other related duties.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong observation skills, self-control, and teamwork;
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset. English proficiency is required to serve customers based in the United States and outside Quebec.
