Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a Security Advisor to help plan, implement and oversee security practices and governance across the organization. You will lead projects in personal information protection, information security, and physical security while working with diverse partners.

The role requires four+ years of experience, a French language proficiency, and availability for occasional travel and flexible hours, with a competitive salary and annual bonus offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of French is required.
  • Advanced proficiency of English due to duties with English-speaking partners.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Available to work flexible hours and travel occasionally.

Job description

The work mode arrangement for the position is full-time on site.

Required

As a security advisor, you help develop and optimize security measures to align with corporate objectives by planning, implementing and overseeing best practices to strengthen Desjardins's security posture. You help develop the Desjardins Group Security Office's priorities and governance, and work on different aspects of our security practices. You're responsible for one or more sub-specialties, such as personal information and data protection, information security, physical security and financial crime and fraud prevention. You advise and assist clients and partners on major security-related initiatives and development projects. You develop tools, methods and processes. Your projects and initiatives require comprehensive knowledge in your field of expertise. You propose recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization's objectives and priorities. You share ideas and help solve problems using your analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of your line of business. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal skills are therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to:
