We’re looking for a dynamic Secretary III – Recreation to support our Director of Recreation and
Culture and play a key role in coordinating the everyday operations that bring life to our city’s parks,
programs, and events.
What You Will Be Doing:
Providing top-tier administrative support to the Director of Recreation and Culture
Coordinating facility, park, and room bookings—and making sure events run smoothly
Assisting with event planning and program scheduling
Preparing meeting agendas, transcribing minutes, and managing departmental records
Creating and managing invoices, payroll summaries, purchase requisitions, and reports
Being the friendly face and first point of contact for public inquiries
Supporting day-to-day operations, including evenings and weekends for events
What You Bring to the Table:
A Post-Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent)
Minimum 6 month to 1 year of experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a
fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
A reliable, team-first attitude and a passion for public service
