  1. Candidates must be members in good standing or in the process of becoming Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualified before the start date.
  2. External candidates will need to provide at least three professional, supervisory teaching references, including full name, position, organization, and email address. References are not contacted before practicum/interview.
  3. Internal candidates should include all previous teaching experiences and two references, one of which must be a YRDSB administrator.
  4. A police record check, including a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC), is required within six months prior to the start date, based on your home address in Canada. The PVSC must be satisfactory to YRDSB and is your responsibility to submit.
