Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent preparation and execution of all food items according to hotel recipes and standards, delivering the highest quality products to guests and colleagues.
  • Produce the best hot & cold food and beverages served in the staff cafeteria.
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients and allergies.
  • Assist and support other kitchen areas and colleagues as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment, ensuring all Health & Safety standards are met and procedures followed.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety & hygiene policies and procedures at all times.
  • Complete temperature records accurately and honestly.
  • Clean kitchen equipment, including line fridges.
  • Follow sustainability and food waste reduction/diversion policies and programs.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to hotel colleagues & leaders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of kitchen experience, preferably in hotel operations.
  • Experience with hot and cold food prep, grill, fryer, or oven stations.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Understanding of kitchen operations, health, and safety regulations.
  • Comfortable working with guests in a public area.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, outgoing team player.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).
