Job summary

National Seating & Mobility (NSM) in Ottawa seeks a Seating & Mobility Equipment Specialist to assess mobility needs and recommend customized assistive technology solutions. Youll work with therapists, clients, and caregivers to ensure equipment supports health, safety, and independence.

You will build relationships with referral sources, conduct evaluations, prepare quotes, oversee fittings, and educate clients on equipment use. Travel across the territory is expected.

Qualifications

• Education in Kinesiology, Healthcare, or related field preferred.
• Bilingual French and English required.
• 2–3 years of sales experience in medical equipment or rehab field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Knowledge of funding processes for complex rehab technology.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and travel within territory.

About the Role

As a Seating & Mobility Equipment Specialist, you will work closely with therapists, clients, and caregivers to assess mobility needs and recommend customized assistive technology solutions. You’ll provide expert advice on seating, positioning, and wheeled mobility devices, ensuring every client receives equipment that supports their health, safety, and independence.

• Knowledge of clinical considerations for pediatric and geriatric clients.
• Understanding of funding processes for complex rehab technology.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
