Job summary

Nortera, leader nord-américain des légumes prêts à cuisiner, recherche des travailleurs saisonniers pour son installation à Lethbridge. Les candidats participeront à la production de légumes surgelés et seront confrontés à des défis quotidiens dans un environnement de manufacture alimentaire, tout en travaillant efficacement en équipe.

Qualifications

  • Expérience en sanitation souhaitable mais pas obligatoire.
  • Capacité de soulever ou déplacer des charges jusqu'à 60 livres.
  • Capacité à travailler dans des conditions chaudes/humides et/ou frigorifiques.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenir et effectuer la propreté de la chaîne de production.
  • Aider dans toutes les zones de l'usine, chaudes ou froides.
  • Contribuer au maintien de la sécurité alimentaire.

At Nortera Lethbridge we harvest peas and corn that are grown in Taber and the surrounding area. These fresh vegetables are harvested in the Taber area and then transported to our Lethbridge facility. They come straight from the field to be washed, frozen, packaged, and shipped. For our seasonal positions we are currently hiring individuals that have an interest in learning about the frozen food manufacturing process and to make money for the summer months!

We are currently accepting applications for our summer seasonal positions in Lethbridge.

Contract Length: 4 Months July-October

Your Daily Role

  • Maintain and perform production line and plant cleanliness;
  • Assisting in all areas of the plant, hot or cold;
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a food safe facility;
  • Record keeping;
  • Maintain safe procedures;
  • Ability to use and read chemicals safely;
  • Other general production duties as required.

Your Profile

  • Has experience working in sanitation preferred but not required;
  • Ability to lift or move equipment/materials weighing up to 60 pounds;
  • Ability to stand for 8 - 12 hours per day;
  • Ability to work effectively as a part of a team;
  • Good written and oral communication;
  • Able to uphold safe working procedures;
  • Able to work in hot/humid and/or freezer conditions;
  • Has experience working in a food manufacturing environment (preferred);
  • CSA approved steel toed shoes.

Work Conditions

  • Wage rate: $19.58/hr
  • Sunday Premium: $1.50/hr
  • Night Premium: $1.00/hr
  • Schedule: 12 Hour Schedule (4-5-5; 4 days, 5 off, 5 nights, 4 off, 5 days, 5 off, repeat)Rotating between days, and nights.
  • This schedule requires some weekends and holidays. Days are 6am-6pm and Nights 6pm-6am
