Seasonal Sales Associate

Swift Canoe & Kayak is gearing up for a Big Summer in 2025 and we’re looking for some great people who want to join our team. We are seeking 2 outdoor loving Sales Associates for this coming season to join our Gravenhurst Sale Centre. If you are a people person who is keen to share your love of the outdoors and your passion for paddling with others, we’d love to hear from you!

Our team who works at Swift are very passionate about the outdoors, and that is translated to how we serve our customers. As an employee, you will be trained on a multitude of products, from canoes & kayaks to PFDs and paddles.

In the Seasonal position, you would be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while representing a trusted and much-loved Canadian brand.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer service and sales of Canoes, Kayaks, and SUPs
2. Assisting customers in selection of the craft that best suits their needs and paddling style/abilities
3. Managing incoming stock and customer boat arrivals
4. Assisting front of store, answering phones, welcoming customers, and daily cash handling
5. General maintenance of our store and outdoor sales yard

Requirements:

1. Outgoing personality and great communication skills
2. Basic computer skills
3. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus
4. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
5. Must be able to work weekends and holidays
6. Experience in a retail or sales environment is an asset although not a requirement
