Job Description

***Pay $12/hour plus tips***

Pool Bartenders serve alcoholic beverages and food to pool patrons. They must maintain thorough knowledge of food and beverage menus, mixology skills, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with an emphasis on maintaining an attractive and welcoming bar environment for guests.

Season ends in September 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Serve food and beverages to guests following Moments of Service (MOS) and adhere to service times.
  • Greet guests warmly, anticipate their needs, and respond to inquiries or requests promptly.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and staff at all times.
  • Share additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests with the management and kitchen team.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, outlet-specific beverages, and non-alcoholic options offered.
  • Keep the back bar and bar top clean, organized, and sanitary.
  • Contribute to a professional and positive workplace environment, working well with diverse FOH and BOH staff.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service by following all legal requirements, including carding and monitoring consumption.
  • Accurately take and record food and beverage orders, manage guest tabs, and process payments following procedures.
  • Maintain liquor par levels and place daily orders for beer, wine, liquor, and supplies from the storeroom.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 months bartending experience in an equitable establishment.
  • Previous cash handling experience required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Comfortable engaging with guests in a pool environment with enthusiasm.
  • Proficient in inputting information into MICROS system.
  • Capable of handling stressful situations calmly and professionally.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with team members across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and follow up on guest requests in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and service recovery skills.
  • Must be TABC and Food Handler certified.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks required in a poolside environment.
