Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
  2. Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
  3. Work outside in all weather conditions
Qualifications:
  1. Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  2. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  3. Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
  4. Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
  5. Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
Work Conditions:
  1. Shift work, on-call, and night shifts may be required due to weather patterns
  2. Benefits and RSPs provided by CLAC
Rates & Premiums:
  1. Base hourly rate from $26/hour to $29.25/hour based on experience
  2. Premiums starting at $6/hour for night shift and Class 1 equipment operation
  3. Premium starting at $14/hour for winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow unit
