Our Opportunity : Rainbow Greenhouses Inc. supplies indoor and outdoor garden plants to retailers in Canada. We are seeking highly motivated and hard-working individuals to merchandise our products at our Walmart Garden Centre at our N Red Deer location in AB . This position is perfect for students, snowbirds, or anyone looking to spend a season doing something they love!

Job Summary : Merchandisers are responsible for the care and presentation of live goods in local retail stores and restocking product. Successful merchandisers work diligently, pay attention to details, follow directions thoroughly, and are self-motivated.

They are responsible for the visual display and integrity of our products, as well as pricing and inventory management.

Daily duties include offloading product from carts to benches or staging carts, merchandising products accordingly, creating attractive displays, and maintaining shelf fullness. Responsibilities also include maintaining the products through watering, pruning, and rotation. Team members will collaborate on daily plans, task delegation, reporting, and communication with supervisors. Shifts are spent outside in the Garden Center—rain or shine!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Physical work—able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to push / pull and reach.
• Unloading carts of product onto tables and / or carts.
• Pricing products appropriately when required.
• Reporting inventory needs to supervisors.
• Merchandising displays according to Rainbow standards.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Self-driven—prioritize time and duties effectively.
• High energy level.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Qualifications and Education Requirements :

• Smartphone required for regular use (email, photos, etc.).
• Personal and reliable vehicle preferred but not required.
• CSA safety-toed shoes required (steel or composite) for the duration of shifts.

Preferred Skills : Good people skills, adaptability, self-direction, organizational skills, problem-solving, and physical capability for manual labor.
