An established industry player is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Mechanic to ensure the smooth operation of winemaking equipment. This role involves performing mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance across two winery properties. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, this position includes installations, repairs, preventative, and emergency maintenance on a wide variety of winemaking and facility equipment. Additionally, the technician will perform repairs and maintenance on support equipment, buildings, landscapes, fixtures, and systems at two winery properties in the Russian River Valley. This position will include driving between the facilities. The candidate should have availability to work 6 days a week from August through November, including overtime.
2 - 3 years of winery or related industrial maintenance experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, or equivalent technical training. Must have thorough knowledge of mechanical systems related to equipment including hydraulics, air systems, vacuum systems, air conditioning, refrigeration, etc. Must be organized with good follow-through and time management skills.
This position requires the ability to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, climb, stoop, and kneel, and be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work overhead and lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must have a valid California driver's license.
The base pay for this role ranges from $24.50 - $27 - $29.50 per hour. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.
