Job summary

Liquor Mart is seeking a Courtesy Clerk Seasonal to provide front-line customer service, process sales, stock shelves, and support store operations.

You will greet customers, assist with purchases, use POS and inventory systems, handle payments, restock, and ensure a clean, safe shopping environment.

This role requires teamwork, good communication, basic math, and the ability to perform physical tasks; bilingualism is an asset.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (completed) preferred.
• Basic cash handling and math skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to perform physical duties.
• Six months customer service experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet customers.
• Approach and offer assistance to customers, according to established criteria, providing a positive customer experience.
• Use Point-of-Sale and inventory computer systems to complete sales transactions and returns.
• Process customer payment using debit, credit card, gift cards, and cash.
• Ensure accurate and secure handling of cash and credit/debit slips.
• Package orders and provide carry-out service when appropriate.
• Provide Controlled Entry door coverage and refuse entry per procedures.
• Answer phone using established protocols.
• Unload pallets and stock shelves, maintaining rotation and saleable condition.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor and work areas.
• Return carts and dispose of waste per procedure.
