Job summary

Terroni Sackville in Toronto is seeking part-time seasonal Hosts for the Holiday Season, with an immediate start. You will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering friendly, professional service and helping maintain a welcoming dining area.

Reporting to the restaurant manager, you will greet guests, take or route reservations, and assist with running food and keeping the dining area tidy. Some training is provided; Open Table and POS experience are assets.

Qualifications

• Smart Serve Certification and English language proficiency required.
• Previous restaurant experience is preferred.
• Open Table and Silverware POS knowledge is an asset.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for part-time Seasonal Hosts to join our FOH team for the Holiday Season. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast paced environment, interacting with guests and brings a positive and professional work ethic. Well groomed and possessing a great sense of style, you are a team player who enjoys working in a fast paced and beautiful casual fine dining environment.

Description Of Role

As an important member of our FOH service team you are the first person our guests meet upon entering our restaurant and therefor play an integral role in delivering excellent customer service to our guests. Reporting to the restaurant manager, greeting guests with a cheerful, professional and outgoing personality and offering a consistently outstanding customer service experience for both those guests checking in as well as those calling over the phone, are the primary responsibilities of the Host. Running food, clearing tables as well as maintaining a clean and organized restaurant may also be part of the daily duties of the Host. The ideal candidate is a reliable and positive team player who is a quick learner. Some restaurant experience is preferred but not necessary as we provide on the job training. Scheduling is flexible with both day and night shifts during the week days and on weekends. Working knowledge of Open Table and Silverware POS is a definite asset. Smart Serve Certification and a good understanding of English language required.
