Join our team as a Seasonal Garden Centre Merchandiser and be a part of a fast-paced and exciting seasonal work environment!

This role is perfect for individuals who have a passion for gardening and enjoy working in a dynamic, outdoor environment. As a Seasonal Garden Centre Merchandiser, you will contribute to the visual appeal of our garden center, ensuring an inviting atmosphere that delights customers and showcases our flowers and plants.

Shifts available: Friday to Sunday, either AM opening shifts or PM closing shifts.

Responsibilities

1. Display Creation:
   • Set up and organize inventory quickly and efficiently.
   • Arrange and showcase products in an appealing and customer-friendly manner.
2. Product Rotation and Maintenance:
   • Regularly update displays to feature new arrivals and highlight promotions.
   • Ensure all products are correctly priced and have accurate signage.
   • Monitor and report any damaged or unsellable merchandise.
3. Customer Engagement:
   • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries and garden-related questions.
   • Offer gardening tips and advice to enhance the customer's experience.
4. Stocking and Inventory:
   • Work to condense shelves and maintain organized inventory levels.
   • Collaborate with lead and management staff to replenish products and ensure a well-stocked garden center.
5. Visual Standards:
   • Maintain visual standards by keeping displays clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing.
   • Follow company merchandising guidelines and seasonal themes.
6. Team Collaboration:
   • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals.
   • Communicate regularly with supervisors to provide updates on inventory, customer feedback, and display effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Passion for gardening, outdoor living, and an active lifestyle.
• Previous retail or merchandising experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors and handle physical tasks including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 45 lbs daily.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think quickly on your feet.

Availability

• Seasonal position from end of April to early June.
• Flexible availability for either AM opening shifts or PM closing shifts.
