Seasonal French Bilingual Tax Expert – WFH

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in completing their tax returns using TurboImpôt, providing tax advice and reviewing personal tax returns for clients preparing their own taxes, including full service return preparation and managing product/software inquiries.
  • Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find and deliver accurate answers in understandable terms.
  • This is a virtual, customer-facing role involving the use of advanced video communication software to interact with clients and maintaining detailed records of interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of paid professional tax preparation experience.
  • Provide your CRA RepID to use the Représenter un client service upon onboarding.
  • Experience with professional tax software for personal tax returns, including complex elements such as employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, T1135, foreign income, and credits/deductions.
  • Passionate about helping clients navigate tax complexities and committed to enhancing our brand by delighting customers and empowering them to prepare their taxes.
  • Excellent customer service skills, comfortable interacting via video and audio tools professionally and confidently.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule with at least 20 hours per week.

Additional Asset Qualifications:

  • Experience preparing Business Tax (T2) Returns.
  • Experience preparing Quebec Tax (TP1) Returns.

  • Fundamental understanding of tax laws and concepts, with a proven ability to seek additional learning opportunities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with active listening skills to understand customer needs.
  • Commitment to understanding customer problems, leveraging tools and resources to resolve or escalate issues promptly.
  • Curiosity and interest in continuous learning, following procedures and seeking resources for solutions.
  • Basic technical troubleshooting skills and interest in learning the necessary tools.

Intuit offers a competitive compensation package, including an hourly wage ranging from $24.50 to $33.50 depending on the region, with eligibility for bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits. Pay is based on knowledge, skills, experience, and location, with ongoing pay equity assessments.
