Seasonal Equipment Operators/Construction Road Workers

Hourly rates starting at $21.8093 - $36.3330 depending upon licencing, experience/education.

Term Seasonal Camp Based Positions Available for 2025

  • Truck Drivers (water/gravel/oil)
  • Camp Attendants and Camp Cooks

Workplace Locations, Hours of Work – General Rates of Pay

  • Hourly rates starting at $21.8093 - $36.3330 depending upon licencing, experience/education.
  • Work week hours are dependent on Crew assignment – majority of placements are Camp Based throughout Special Areas #2, #3 and #4 (Monday through Friday) or from our Youngstown Service Center.

Key Duties will include:

  • Operation of road construction equipment for tasks such as road construction and repair.
  • Equipment servicing and minor repairs.
  • Delivering the Special Areas Safety Program and all reporting requirements.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent (GED) – combination of experience/education will be considered.
  • Prior road maintenance and/or construction experience is an asset.
  • Physical capabilities to perform job duties - required lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Working knowledge in the care and use of tools and equipment common to these positions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy, tact and discretion and use good judgement.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.

Preference may be given to candidates possessing:

  • Class 3 AB Drivers Licence – Air Endorsement.
  • Class 1 Drivers Licence.

Important Considerations for Applicants:

  • These are designated safety sensitive positions and mandatory pre-employment drug testing will be conducted on all newly hired employees.
  • These positions will be working outside completing fieldwork in rural-remote areas.
  • Availability to work into September/October.
  • Overtime work may be expected as a part of this role.
