Western Energy - Drilling Services seeks a Derrickhand to safely manage drill string and drilling fluids at the rig location. You will assist the Driller during tripping operations and ensure proper pipe handling in the derrick.

You will maintain drilling fluid properties, monitor mud weights and pump systems, perform inspections, and contribute to housekeeping. This is a full-time seasonal role with benefits, requiring English proficiency and willingness to work in varied weather and

Qualificações

• Derrickhand with proven rig experience
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Driller with maintenance of equipment related to the drilling fluid circulation system
• Climb and work in the rig derrick to guide and handle drill pipe during tripping operations
• Monitor and maintain drilling fluid properties, circulation rates, and mud handling equipment
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on the circulating system and related equipment
• Work on and above the drilling floor while safely guiding drill pipe during drilling operations
• Identify workplace hazards and implement controls
• Participate in incident investigations and assist with corrective action
• Promote and maintain a safe, healthy, environmentally responsible worksite

Conhecimentos

Derrickhand rig experience
