Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a Christmas Support Worker to assist Community and Family Services during the Christmas season on a temporary basis. This 10-hour-per-week, part-time role supports toy and food donations, distribution setup, and data recording in a friendly, faith-based nonprofit environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid Ontario G license, and experience with Microsoft Office. Flexible shifts include days and weekends, with local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Completed High School or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of prior related experience in community-based programs is preferred.
• Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License with access to a personal vehicle.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and email/internet usage.

Responsibilities

• Process, unload, document, and sort donations for the Christmas program.
• Assist with pick-ups of food and toy donations from community donors using program vehicle.
• Set up and take down of toy and food Christmas hamper distribution centre.
• Sort toy donations.
• Record statistical data clearly and accurately.
• May assist with the Kettle campaign.
• Perform other related duties as required.
