Job summary

Carter’s Inc. is hiring a Seasonal Associate in the Niagara region. You will greet customers, explain baby essentials, and help families on their parenting journeys.

This role thrives in a fast-paced retail environment that values care, teamwork, and a positive shopping experience. Duties include processing POS transactions, replenishing shelves, highlighting promotions and loyalty programs, and ensuring a clean, safe store.

Qualifications

• Previous retail customer service experience.
• Ability to assist customers and handle multiple tasks in a busy store.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide information on product styles and benefits.
• Resolve customer issues confidently and proactively in a busy retail setting.
• Support omnichannel shopping to ensure a positive experience.
• Process point-of-sale transactions efficiently.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipments as needed.
• Explain current promotions and the loyalty program to customers.
• Help minimize loss with strong service and store cleanliness.

What you’ll do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program to customers
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store

Qualities we’d love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
