Job summary

Longo’s is seeking a Seafood Assistant Department Manager - Full Time to lead a team in a fast-paced retail seafood department. You will support daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining product standards.

The role requires at least 1 year in seafood, strong communication, and the ability to mentor staff in a dynamic environment; work days, evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year experience in a seafood department with product knowledge.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships with Team Members and Customers.
• Ability to lead, coach, motivate and work in a fast paced environment.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Ownership to resolve issues with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and mentor Team Members
• Provide support with regular team meetings
• Coach and train Team Members to maintain productivity
• Handle Team Member and customer issues
• Uphold company policies and procedures including health & safety, food safety and loss prevention
• Merchandise, manage inventory and schedule to meet financial objectives
• Provide exceptional customer service to all Team Members, Customers and Vendors
