Job summary

iA Financial Group in Montreal seeks a Scrum Master to drive delivery visibility, remove obstacles, and sustain team momentum in a data- and analytics-driven tech environment. You will lead Agile practices, coordinate with partners, and foster continuous improvement while leveraging leadership and judgment.

The role requires strong communication, a pragmatic approach, and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; fluency in French and English is expected, with a Scrum Master certification or SAFe

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, engineering or related field.
• Experience as Scrum Master or delivery leadership in technology teams.
• French advanced and English at least intermediate; bilingual communication required.
• Scrum Master certification or knowledge of SAFe is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous, fact-based visibility into delivery state, commitments, risks, and dependencies.
• Identify gaps and obstacles, and actively resolve them to protect delivery momentum.
• Turn information into concrete actions by coordinating with the right people and follow-ups.
• Support planning, prioritization, and coordination for smooth, predictable delivery.
• Facilitate Agile practices with a pragmatic approach tailored to the team.
• Challenge the team on commitments and workload when needed.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies with partners and other teams.
• Eliminate obstacles to keep the team focused on high-value work.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and drive sustainable changes.
• Foster a culture of transparency and collective accountability.

As a Scrum Master, you will play a key role within a team of experienced, autonomous, and resourceful specialists. You will help make the true state of delivery visible and actionable, maintain the team's momentum, and strengthen its delivery capabilities.

• Identify opportunities for improvement and support the team in implementing concrete and sustainable adjustments;

We are looking for someone who:

• Is recognized for their leadership and ability to mobilize others without formal authority;
• Stands out for their sound judgment, sense of priorities, and ability to turn observations into action;
• Demonstrates a strong ability to quickly understand a situation, connect the dots, anticipate risks, and identify what matters most;
• Is recognized for excellent communication, simplification, facilitation, and problem-solving skills, as well as courage and assertiveness;
• Has relevant experience as a Scrum Master or in a delivery leadership role within technology teams, ideally working with experienced and autonomous technical specialists;
• Holds a bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, engineering, or another relevant field;
• Experience in analytics, data engineering, artificial intelligence, or automation, as well as a Scrum Master certification (PSM, CSM, or equivalent) or knowledge of SAFe, is considered an asset;
• Has an advanced level of proficiency in French and an intermediate level of proficiency in English, as the successful candidate will be required to communicate daily, both verbally and in writing, with unilingual English-speaking vendors and partners across Canada.
