Job description

One of our clients is looking to onboard a Scrum Master.

This is a remote role within Canada, with preference given to candidates based in Western Canada.

Term: 2025/09/01 – 2026/08/31( with a possibility of extension )

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver value to customers.
  • Reinforce Agile and Scrum practices to encourage teams to work with agility.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and other sessions as needed.
  • Promote Agile practices while consistently reinforcing Scrum theory and values.
  • Build relationships to foster engagement and encourage collaboration.
  • Remove or escalate impediments to the Scrum team’s progress.
  • Protect the team from internal and external distractions.
  • Lead process management and improvement practices to enhance value delivery.
  • Assist the Product Owner in ensuring scope, commitments, and targets are understood by the Scrum team.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling meetings and facilitating communication between teams.

Required Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer science and at least five years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum.
  • Relevant certifications.

Required Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of agile principles and scrum frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve a wide range of impediments that are strategic, organizational, or technical in nature.
  • Confident communicator, facilitator, and relationship-builder.
