Volunteer Scribe (Part-Time / Remote)

Studio: Realm of the Evergreen

Type: Volunteer Position (3–5 hours/week)

Duration: 1–3 month pilot period with potential for future paid work

About the Role

We seek a thoughtful, detail-oriented Volunteer Scribe to assist with project organization and creative production support at Realm of the Evergreen, a studio dedicated to long-form storytelling across books, audiobooks, and visual essays.

As a Scribe, you will help manage digital files, track project progress, and support the preparation of manuscripts and media for publication. This role is ideal for individuals interested in publishing, media production, or literary and philosophical content, as well as those with a background in business or commerce who are eager to gain hands-on experience in remote studio operations.

Note: This is an unpaid, volunteer position.

Key Responsibilities

• Format and proofread written manuscripts and captions
• Maintain project folders and naming conventions
• Assist with strategic planning and onboarding documentation
• Support metadata entry for YouTube, eBooks, and audiobooks
• Contribute to internal documentation and creative workflow checklists

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable using Google Drive, Microsoft Office, or similar tools
• Quiet attention to detail and care for creative work
• Interest in literature, philosophy, or multimedia storytelling
• Prior experience not required, just consistency and curiosity
• Preference given to candidates currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary program
