Mitchell Metal Recycling is a fast-growing and dynamic company focused on purchasing, processing, and recycling ferrous and non-ferrous metals. We serve residential, commercial, and industrial scrap metal producers across the Lower Mainland and beyond. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a motivated Scrap Metal Buyer to join our team and drive new business opportunities.

What We’re Looking For :

We’re seeking a proactive and driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with strong sales instincts and a passion for building relationships.

Qualifications :

• Proactive mindset and ability to work independently
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license
• Prior experience in sales and purchasing
• Experience with scrap metal commodities is an asset (but not required)

Key Responsibilities :

• Identify and source new leads to grow our supplier base
• Develop and maintain relationships with commercial clients and scrap suppliers
• Keep accurate records and prepare weekly reports for the CEO and Commercial Manager
• Collaborate with the commercial team to meet monthly performance targets

Note : This is primarily an outside sales role — minimal office time, with most of your work involving field visits, networking, and customer engagement.

Performance expectations and monthly targets will be closely monitored by the Commercial Manager.

Monday to Friday | 8 : 00 AM – 4.00 PM

Compensation & Training :

• Ongoing training will be provided in scrap metal trading, pricing, and negotiation techniques
