Griffith Foods Canada is seeking a Scientist to lead R&D projects and develop innovative products for key clients in a dynamic bench-to-production environment. You will design, test, and refine formulations, scale processes, and contribute to strategic product goals.

The role requires a BSc in Food Science with at least 3 years in food R&D, willingness to travel domestically, and a collaborative mindset. This hybrid position is based in Scarborough, with three days in the office each week for

• At least 3 years of R&D experience in the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage R&D projects, driving development of new products and tech.
• Evaluate new products, processes, and solutions based on research and business needs.
• Operate specialized equipment, test materials and support production trials.
• Ensure GLP, GMP, product safety, regulatory and quality requirements are met and records kept.
• Provide leadership and training to junior scientists and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients and suppliers and participate in sensory panels and presentations.
