Fall 2025 Work Term

Term Length: 4 months

Term End: December 19, 2025

As of October 15, 2024, Loblaw has adopted a hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, with the remaining 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).

Role mandate:

The Scientific Affairs Fall Student will contribute to nutrition and health initiatives through project-based research. This role offers a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about nutrition and health to gain practical experience, contribute to meaningful projects within Loblaw Brands, and gain exposure to regulatory affairs and product development within the food retail industry.

Accountabilities:

1. Support the Dietitian Manager to develop and execute a strategic project focused on nutrition and health, providing support on additional projects as required.
2. Conduct competitive product reviews, identifying key opportunities within a defined focus area.
3. Develop evidence-based nutritional guardrails and conduct a thorough evaluation of the current product portfolio against these standards.
4. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across Loblaw Brands to gather, synthesize, and analyze relevant data.
5. Deliver regular progress updates.

Skills, knowledge, and education:

• Highly organized, able to prioritize effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong work ethic with a passion for detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Enrolled in a completed post-secondary nutrition program.
