Wheelchair Basketball Canada (WBC) is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and detail-oriented professional, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, to join our Ottawa team as Schools Program Coordinator. The role is suited for an energetic team player with core competencies in delivery of results, relationship building, communication, and initiative. A background in community and corporate event activations, parasport, and a passion for sports are a must.
Reporting to the Executive Director of the IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships and collaborating with the event delivery team, the Schools Program Coordinator is responsible for the planning and execution of a comprehensive schools’ program and supporting a variety of corporate and community events/activations.
The Schools Program Coordinator position requires the ability to organize, plan, and deliver industry-leading initiatives and events. Working closely with other staff and WBC members, the position functions as a key member of a team while possessing the ability to work independently to advance projects.
Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or have refugee protection, and legally entitled to work in Canada, with a valid Social Insurance Number.
