Job summary

Le CFP des Carrefours, centre de formation professionnelle de Verdun, recrute un conseiller d’orientation spécialisée dans l’accompagnement d’adultes et d’étudiants. Vous guidez les personnes dans le choix d’un programme adapté à leurs objectifs professionnels et à leur profil.

Vous travaillez avec les équipes pédagogiques et partenaires externes pour soutenir la réussite des apprenants et leur insertion sur le marché du travail.

Qualifications

• Diplôme de premier cycle requis ou équivalent dans le domaine de l’orientation.
• Excellentes compétences relationnelles et d’écoute active.
• Sens aigu de l’analyse et de l’évaluation des dossiers d’admission.
• Capacité à travailler avec un public adulte et multiculturel.

Responsibilities

• Accueillir, informer et accompagner les candidats adultes et jeunes vers les programmes.
• Analyser les besoins et objectifs individuels pour orienter vers le bon parcours.
• Renseigner sur les exigences d’admission et les perspectives professionnelles.
• Examiner les dossiers d’admission et déterminer l’éligibilité.
• Référer les apprenants vers les services appropriés et partenaires externes.
• Collaborer avec les équipes internes et partenaires pour la réussite des étudiants.
• Participer à des activités de promotion et de recrutement de l’établissement.
• Assurer un suivi des étudiants pour favoriser leur persévérance et leur intégration.

The CFP des Carrefours trains the next generation in sought-after trades thanks to modern facilities and quality support. The center maintains close ties with the job market. Contribute to a concrete mission that leads our learners to employment.

Responsibilities

The school training advisor supports and assists future students as well as enrolled students in their vocational training journey. The person primarily works with an adult clientele, while occasionally offering services to a younger clientele. Their role is to inform, advise, and guide individuals in choosing a program that matches their profile, professional goals, and personal characteristics. Through personalized support, the school training advisor promotes access to vocational training, helps individuals make informed choices, and contributes to the educational and professional success of the students at CFP des Carrefours.

Main responsibilities

• Welcome, inform, and assist individuals interested in the programs offered at CFP des Carrefours, including:

  • Secretarial

  • Accounting

  • IT support

  • School-based childcare

  • Private security

  • Travel sales consulting

• Conduct individual meetings to assess the needs, interests, experiences, and training goals of candidates;

• Advise future students in their program choice considering their academic background, skills, professional aspirations, and personal realities;

• Provide information on admission requirements, program expectations, job prospects, and training pathways;

• Review and analyze admission files to determine candidates' eligibility for vocational training;

• Refer students to appropriate services when specific needs are identified (educational support, assistance services, community organizations, employability, etc.);

• Collaborate with educational teams, administrative staff, and internal and external partners to promote student success;

• Participate in promotional activities, information sessions, and recruitment events for the center;

• Follow up with students to support their perseverance and integration into their training program.

Requirements

• Hold a terminal undergraduate degree in an appropriate field of specialization, particularly in guidance;

• Proof of passing the French test SEL or CÉFRANC or TECFÉE or the enhanced French exam of CSSMB within three months of hiring at the latest.

• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.

• Student-centered approach and quality customer service.

• Analytical and judgment skills in evaluating situations and admission files.

• Organizational skills, autonomy, and administrative rigor.

• Ability to work with a diverse, multicultural, and predominantly adult clientele.

• Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders in the educational environment.
