Job description

This position is currently posted internally to CUPE employees for 5 working days until 4:30 p.m. June 2 nd , 2025 as per the CUPE Local 5829 Collective Agreement.

We are currently looking for a professional, skilled School Secretary who will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative and secretarial operations in Delia School. You will provide support to the principal, staff, students and visitors to the office by managing office tasks, providing courteous assistance via telephone, email and mail and coordinating internaland external communications.

This is a fulltime (1.0 FTE) position to commence as soon as possible. You will be responsible for working 35 hours per week. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, managing documents,spreadsheets and databases, maintaining accounts related to school-based activities as requested by Administration. Experience understanding PASI procedures and Edsembli/Edsby applications is preferred, however, training will be provided. You will assist with copying, scanning, faxing, emailing and note-taking. You must be able to exhibit the associated skills to communicate with students, teachers, parents, Central Office and Alberta Education in a timely, meaningful and professional manner. You will be expected to present yourself as an organized and professional representative of the staff, both in person, on the telephone and through correspondence. Previous experience working within a fast-paced, team environment would be an asset.
